2012 Sports Traineeship Programs
HIGH PERFORMANCE BASED INTENSE SPORTS EXPERIENCE
Training Sense offers a range of Sports Traineeships throughout Australia inconjunction with sporting clubs and associations, leisure centres, gyms, sports agencies, employers and group training organisations.
Traineeships are part of the Commonwealth Government's New Apprenticeships initiative.
Traineeships are entry-level employment and training programs aimed at providing a career start to people entering a particular occupation or industry.
They provide industry endorsed and accredited training that can be tailored to suit both trainee and employer needs.
Traineeships combine work and training, like apprenticeships, but generally over a shorter period. Trainees quickly develop practical skills to make a positive contribution to their employer's productivity.
Traineeships are basically a workplace based training program, usually combining on-the-job training with off-the-job school or college based study.
A trainee enters into a formal training contract with his/her employer for the duration of the traineeship.
Traineeships are nationally recognised.
Certification is issued as proof that the trainee is competent in the skills required in a particular industry and can be utilised at a later time to:
gain credit towards further studies
improve chances of promotion
access other job opportunities
support existing work experience with a formal qualification
The most important thing to remember about a Traineeship is:
* A Traineeship is a JOB *
