SRO30106- Certificate III in Sport & Recreation & the SRO40106 Certificate IV in Sport & Recreation
For the budding “Sports Industry Administrator, Receptionist, Duty Manager, Customer Service Officer or Sales Consultant”, Training Sense offers the SRO30106 - Certificate III in Sport & the SRO40106 - Certificate IV in Sport & Recreation program.

These recognised formal qualifications provide the necessary skills required, for entry level employment to the leisure and recreation industries.These courses are vocation-oriented and provide students with the training that is so essential for Sporting Bodies, Allied Health groups, Leisure Facilities, and Sport & Fitness Organisations.

These programs suit persons who possess a range of administrative and/or management competencies and are capable of assisting a sport or recreation organisation to operate both efficiently and effectively.

This person would not necessarily require sport or activity-specific knowledge or skills.

It includes the following external training qualification as a bonus to both Employer and Trainee.
• AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or Pool Lifeguarding Qualification
• Workplace First Aid Level 2 & CPR training
• NCAS Level 1 Beginning Coaching Qualification

It is also possible to package this course in combination with a Certificate 3 in Fitness, a Certificate IV in Fitness, Certificate IV in Sport & Recreation, or a Certificate 3 in Sports Coaching, which ensures that the trainee gets every opportunity of a broad education and ultimate employment within the burgeoning Sports and Fitness Industries.

The Certificate II and III in Sport Coaching training package qualifications, hold the relevant units of competence for the various sporting disciplines and now allows participants to attain formal recognition from the government and the community for their sporting discipline studies.

These qualifications are the benchmark and now set the standard for all sporting disciplines. These qualifications open the door to formal career path opportunities and of course articulation into further studies under this framework.

The training package is suitable to a full range of sporting disciplines.

A Training Program can be developed in consultation with the trainee/employer that will to ensure that the training complies with State/Territory or National licensing requirements.,

This includes accreditation and registration required by authorities, such as Fitness Australia; the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia; AUSTSWIM; the Martial Arts Industry Association; the Tai Chi Association of Australia; and Aquatic and Recreation Institute. National Competencies have been developed for all sports.

The training can be customized to encompass the specific needs of the Coach.

SRS20306 Certificate II in Sports Coaching
This qualification facilitates the development of the following knowledge and skills:
• observing athlete’s performances to determine the level of instruction required;
• instructing techniques for athletes to acquire additional skills or improve existing skills;
• conducting practice sessions;
• implementing sports first aid procedures and applying sports first aid;
• implementing game strategy, in consultation with club officials;
• monitoring the progress of games or competitions and giving signals/instructions to
athletes;
• carrying out after competition review of strategy and performance;
• undertaking related administrative tasks such as booking venues, budgeting and arranging
entry into competitions; and recruiting players.

SRS30306 - Certificate III in Sports Coaching
This qualification facilitates the development for the Coach with the following knowledge and skills:
• observing athlete’s performances to determine the level of instruction required;
• teaching techniques for athletes to acquire additional skills or improve existing skills;
• supervising practice sessions;
• planning, conducting, evaluating and modifying individualised training programs;
• implementing sports first aid procedures and applying sports first aid;
• supervising the physical development of athletes;
• aiding in the psychological preparation of athletes for training and competition;
• providing information about the fundamental principles of eating for peak performance;
• organising and liaising with sports science support staff;
• planning and directing game strategy, in consultation with club officials;
• analysing the progress of games or competitions and giving signals/instructions to athletes;
• carrying out after competition analysis and evaluation of strategy and performance;
• undertaking related administrative tasks such as booking venues, organising tours, budgeting and arranging entry into competitions; and
• recruiting players and other support staff.
