SRF50206 Diploma of Fitness

Diploma of Fitness is the highest level qualification within the fitness package and reflects an advanced level of skill and application. Linkage with allied health providers is a key component of the Diploma for the prescription and delivery of exercise to clients with chronic disease.

Those who have completed the Diploma in Fitness are able to register with Fitness Australia in the category of Specialised Trainer, or register with Kinect Australia in the category of Specalised Exercise Trainer.

People trained at this level are involved in the delivery and monitoring of exercise interventions and working in close cooperation with suitably credentialed allied health professionals and/or medical practitioners.

A Rehabilitation Consultant is a Specalist Trainer that is skilled in working within a variety of environments relating to the delivery of higher level fitness training, sports conditioning and other fitness and health related activities.

The requirements for a Diploma of Fitness will comprise achievement of twenty-eight (28) of the following units of competency:

Elective Units (Choose 4)

Four (4) elective units of competency from any Training Package within the Sport and Recreation Industry (Community Recreation, Fitness, Outdoor Recreation, Sport) or from any other endorsed Training Package from any other industry, at the Diploma level.

Any units selected must be relevant to the occupational outcome sought and should be appropriate to the Australian Qualifications Framework level.
