Using TAFE VC Blackboard

Click the Login Button

Enter your User name: and Password:
Normally Log-ins and Passwords are set up in the following way:

Log_in:         statefirstnamelastname -  e.g. vicclairemcarthur
Password:    birthdate - e.g. 24/06/1975  (8 digits)

 

Java Security Certificate

After logging in to WebCT, you will be prompted to accept a Java Security Certificate. You must click Yes or Always  or “Run”  to ensure that WebCT functionality using Java will work properly in your browser.

To turn off the the Pop- Up Blocker, Go to Tools – Popup Blocker – Turn off Pop-up Blocker

 

Check your Browser:

It is always “good practise’ to ensure when you first login to Blackboard that you run the “Check your browser” wizard.  The wizard can be found via the login page as indicated below and also from the first page of Blackboard after you have logged in.

Get Java

Blackboard Vista requires a program called "Java" in order to run "Training Sense On-line" on your computer.

Recommended Java is Version 6 Update 20
Click the Java icon above to download the correct version of "Java"

Configuring Your Browser

 

Browser Check

You may have noticed on the log in page the message:
“We highly recommend that you perform a browser check before logging in to ensure your computer is properly configured to use WebCT.”

Once the wizard is run a results page will be illustrated as per the screen shot below. Should you have any items with a red cross rather than a green tick you should take the appropriate steps via your internet browser settings

Click the Run a Browser Check link to make sure everything is set up correctly.

 
 

Using Student Portal Login (Results)

 

 

 

This are is to access your results from Vettrak. Go to the Student Login (Results) page to enter your username and password (this will be different from your TAFEVC login). Please call us on 1300 739 767 if you have any questions.
